Just applied online and after uploading 2 payslips it won't give me any way forward to progress the application - is the payslip/proof of income the last part? If it is would it be too much to ask for some sort of "Thanks for your completed application" message? Anyway - seemed to save OK so should be able to go back later.

I clicked back a few steps, and then I think entered the information again and I was able to click proceed and everything went through fine after that.

I was called the following day to confirm previous address and everything was approved.

Thanks for the tip - I might try that and see how I go, I won't really be in a position to answer stupid phone calls over the next few days so will give it another go.

Maybe naïve - but I thought waiting a few weeks or months and then doing the application process might just mean that I miss all the bugs and mistakes in the design of the application process. If there as sloppy with their credit checking, web design and approval process as some posters here report I won't be staying with them once the bonus hits.

Mine was rejected at a local car park ($1.60) - guess this explains why

My transaction was declined at a local shop this morning when tried to pay wave a coffee - they suggested I insert - did so, selected credit, it wanted a pin, then was approved? I have pay waved elsewhere without issue, seems strange to need a pin on $4?
Its also not showing as a pending expense yet (3h later) - I think it is normally instant on this card

Mind saying what Parking Station it was? Qantas money are aware of Travelex and travelmoneyoz and that's only because I told them! And it those instances it was an online problem. Qantas Premier card funnily enough worked in store for Travelex but because the card was issued by an overseas bank it doesn't work on line. Your example is intriguing...

A parking station in Burnie, Tasmania

Cheers Steady, I thought perhaps it may have been a Wilson Parking or some other bigger organisation...

The parking came up as "CARE PARK PTY LTD MELBOURNE"on the statement for the CC I used.

For what it's worth, this Qantas Premier card is unable to be used with some merchants because it is somehow not recognised as a local card ( I can't fathom why this so ) Qantas cards response is as per below

"We aware of the issue you have have reported and have escalated to Citibank, the card issuer. It appears as Citibank is a global bank, the "Bank Issued Number" of this card is associated with an overseas bank.

Unfortunately we cannot advise on the timeframe that this may be corrected, however we can contact you when we know it has been resolved"

Sounds half right. I tried searching the BIN on two different databases - 5268 79 is listed on one as being assigned to TD Canada Trust in Canada, and on the other as being Citibank Pty Ltd in Australia but with a website address of tdcanadatrust.com. Looks like Citibank had no "address space" left, and acquired an unused BIN block from TD Canada Trust bank. Takes a while for that sort of thing to reflect on every BIN database that a merchant might use to do geo blocking.

Well as a follow up; still no news from Qantas Premier MasterCard as to why the card won't work on line when used on the Travelex site. ( when I contacted Travelex about this they finally responded with some guff about security - although a Qantas Visa card of mine had worked fine on a previous occasion)
Turns out that the Qantas Premier MasterCard did WORK when I physically went into Travelex and paid over the counter with my card. So SUCCESS! Was able to easy rack up the required points to get the 60K.
Funnily enough the Philippines Call centre had said such a transaction would not be treated as a cash advance - I mean why would it, its foreign currency. Surprise surprise, when I looked on my statement there was a cash advance fee that had been charged. Nothing is mentioned on he t&c s unless you consider purchasing forex as being a domestic cash advance. Anyway I'm still waiting on Qantas to come back with me for an explanation ( but I won't do so while underwater)

Thanks kyanar, very interesting, you know more than they do!

Update from Travelex, when I asked if their new app would accept the Qantas Premier MasterCard :-

"Unfortunately, we don't accept Qantas cards when using our website or app. Sorry. ^Mary-Ann"
so not just this card apparently...

That last reply sounds like nonsense.

I agree! I know for a fact the Qantas Premier card would not work on their website ( for the reasons as described above) but that the Qantas HSBC Visa card did work. I was hoping their app ( as opposed to their website) had been designed to address this flaw but that was a direct quote from Travelex given to me via social media.

I have found that the Qantas Money Premier card does not work with MyNetFone, but I called them up and they added it manually for autopay. I think the problem is the issuer number is not in the previously accepted ranges. This may well take some time to rectify as this issuer is relatively new.

On a different note, my own gripe is that I cannot export transactions for importing into Xero. I've fed this back to Qantas Money, but who knows how long they will take to get back to me...

I just tried to apply for this card on line but there was an issue with my birthdate, despite re entering kept putting the wrong details in, called the Citi Centre and they said its a known issue and they will call me back when it is fixed ?

I applied for this card three weeks go and after hearing no updates I phoned them today. Infuriating! Talking to an offshore call centre doesn't have to be bad but the English of the guy I spoke to was appalling. After confirming a lot of ID information he could not give me a straight answer on why there was no approval yet. He asked me to confirm my monthly rent. Clearly he had not read my application as we are mortgage free home owners. After a wasted 20 minutes I requested someone in OZ phone me. Here's hoping.

the cynical part of me wonders if our credit rating is too good as we have not paid credit card interest in 10 years. Maybe not who they want.

Applied on Monday, according to the website they are still reviewing my application- no wonder as they needed soooo much specific documentation. Odd really, as some things (ie my payslip) covered off abut 4 criteria. Will give them a follow up call tomorrow if I haven't heard anything

Am trying to prepare for the min spend- has anyone had experience with Westfield Gift Vouchers and whether that spend counts as an eligible transaction?

ETA after a crazy ID confirmation call, am approved!

I applied about two weeks ago and they said they were reviewing but just went in to see and I have to start all over again by the looks of it - I am overseas until November so not sure if that has something to do with it but seeing as they have extended it to end of October then I'll apply then

Cancelled over the phone today, a painful experience - but one I will put up with for the point haul :)

I found the same, and being self-employed chasing all that documentation would have been a PITA. I was in NZ for a conference and didn't answer any of the MANY calls until I returned home. By then they'd called my accountant, checked what they needed to check, and approved the card without me needing to submit anything else. A good result for me...but possibly not my accountant. ;)

I need to cancel and am planning on doing my mail.

I had some time to kill and was a bit frustrated with needing to use a one time pin sent to my mobile - when I have next to no signal
