Is anyone getting $60k or higher ?

Also, it seems from what I've read that the A$12.5k monthly statement limit to earn 1.25 points per dollar (ppd) is only for domestic spend that that the 2ppd for international spend is uncapped ?

Can anyone confirmed that this is indeed the case ?

Thank you

No reason why you shouldn't. The card is administered by NAB who also do the Citi cards. I had $60k with the Prestige Card. I think it's just a straight mathematical solution based on income & expenses. Just ask and see what happens; it's a much more 'relaxed' process than, say, Commbank

I put most of my spend through Amex so not aware of the application of spend limits on dom v Int spend. Sorry

Confirming on the uncapped international spend at 2ppd. My April statement was 11K QFF points for domestic + 23K QFF points for international. Noting Qantas spend is also uncapped.

Cheers,
Matt.

Was that the product of some tedious spreadsheet maths assigning points to individual spend in order to reconcile with the statement points accumulation? Or is there a better way?

My last international trip was in February, although I have international spend most statement periods, and I can't find anywhere in the last six months of statements that elaborates on how the points are assigned except in aggregate at the top of the Statement

No calculation needed - they credit as domestic and international (separately) to your QFF account after each monthly statement period. Check your QFF transaction statement

I've had a premier titanium card for app 7 months now, and I am wondering if anyone has held theirs long enough to request a 'loyalty bonus challenge' on anniversary date?

I appreciate that probably sounded like word salad. Take 2. A friend of mine has (or had...some years ago) a top-level Amex card. It gave him a significant chunk of points upon first issue, when he met the minimum spend criteria. He didn't want to churn away from the card, so contacted Amex and requested that they provided a similar number of bonus points upon him meeting a similar spend criteria in year 2.

Hopefully this makes sense.

Has anyone tried this with Titanium? If not, i might contact them to enquire. Once the various benefits have been used, the value of the card obviously diminishes.

And whilst I'm in question mode.... regarding the two Qantas F lounge passes.

I get that I do not need to be flying first class to use this pass, but do I still need to be flying internationally? For instance, if I was flying from Melbourne to Perth, could I still use this pass or not?

Having not been in First lounge before, are all TV's in the lounge set to the same channel as one finds in business lounge (from memory, ABC recently bumped Sky for the broadcast rights)? As in, constantly rotating news, and no sport of any sort?

You do need to be flying internationally. The F Lounge is in the international terminal and to get past the terminal security and Australian border you need a valid boarding pass and a passport.

Aha, sound logic there. Thank you Mr H...greatly appreciated.

You could use it on QF9 MEL-PER as a domestic passenger as it departs from the international terminal. Opportunity ends in July though.

There’s only a handful of TVs, on silent, and usually just set to a news channel; never noticed which one. If a match or the like was on at a time I was there, I’d probably just be streaming it on a tablet with my headphones on. The F lounges aren’t much of a place for sports fans!

Matt.

Did anyone notice that this card now comes with a promotion? It comes with a $400 QANTAS Luxury Holidays voucher. I noticed that the luxury holidays section of the QANTAS holidays web site is very limited. Does that mean that you need to spend it on "luxury holidays", or can you use it on any QANTAS holidays?
It’s late but to answer this, I got the same voucher when I signed up last year.

No it was not limited to luxury holidays. I managed to use mine for a standard Qantas hotels booking.

Cheers Matt

Not sure why they don't make it clear on the website promoting the benefits that international spend is uncapped! This is a huge benefit for me personally since most of my spend is internationally.

Also awesome to know about QF spend. I was thinking (before you confirmed it to be uncapped) how much I would earn if I was to say spend $39k on MEL-LHR in F during DSC to reach Platinum (for two pax) and that only the first $12.5k would be at 3.25 and maybe the rest at 2.5 or even 0.5. But yeah looks like the whole thing would be at 3.25 if QF spend is uncapped.

I might be keeping this card beyond the first year after all (if I get approved that is - I applied on Thursday).

that seems like a lot of money to spend to get Platinum status for a year. Is it really worth that much?

I often ask them to change the channel to sport. No issues.

If I may offer a reasoning, and Nizar, correct me if I'm wrong. I believe Nizar is considering the value proposition as a whole inclusive of airline product, loyalty program, and credit card. That is, as opposed to being a status run.

Yeah that's spot on mate. I am considering everything as a package. I do realise that to take full advantage of the features of this card, you need to be a heavy spender/flyer on QF.

In other news, I've been approved for $50k (on Tuesday) and received the card yesterday!

It's hard to be sure (because the statement doesn't show points for each transaction), but it looks like the bonus earn on QF does apply to Qantas Hotels. The T&Cs don't specifically exclude it (but don't include it either). I just earned a big pile of points from a hotel booking.

This is good to know since the 3.25 would be stackable with the Semi frequent 3ppd promotions that now and then are running on QF hotels

Say on a $5k hotel booking we are talking 30k+ points. Happy days
