Qantas Project Sunrise goes ahead, 12 new A350-1000s ordered

I'm confused by what you mean. via? over?

AJ's thoughts was SYD-LHR & MEL-LHR non stop, then the existing PER-LHR will remain but upgraded to A350 which is more suitable to the route. He also said he expects SIN-LHR to remain.

Of course, now QF are getting standard A350s as well, they might use a standard A350 for the route, or even a ULR with no F.
No F ex PER getting back to OP’s thoughts on a future PER F Lounge.

I suspect ADL will get QFi J before that.

As an Eagles supporter my first reaction was to laugh, but then . . .

As in an Eagles support I can still laugh. We can always go visit the trophy cabinet to see what success looks like ;)
... on a dark desert highway!

Perth is obviously still up in the air in the sense that a lot has to happen re terminals, let alone whether there would be the patronage for 2 flights to UK per day.

Plenty of Poms live in Perth…

But aren't poms notoriously tight with their money? Are they really the in market for high-yield premium services, or are they more likely to be on the lowest fares on the ME3? (They'd also more likely to be going to other cities besides London, with good connections to places like Manchester on the ME3).

I imagine as with Aussies, some will only care about the bottom line, others would care that it's direct, and others wouldn't want to transit in ME.

Also I'm not too sure about QF's brand reputation in UK. Has it been dragged through the mud there?

Not as much as BA.

From my sources QF barely gets a mention (they only have 2x daily services which is miniscule compared to their competitors).

I had to drag my friend kicking and screaming to fly BA (LHR-MUC) last year.

Matter of time before QF announce Project Sunrise was only an "idea" and won't be going ahead as intended.

At least they will get some A350's to replace the A380's with :)

The fact that the Earth is expanding means the distance is getting too far to fly with the aircraft ordered.

Presumably for every bit that’s getting further away from something, it’s getting closer to somewhere else! Hopefully no more red eyes back from Asia when it’s a mere 2 hrs each way - not allowing for volcanic ash clouds.

Too heavy.....
Source….?

No! you are thinking of that silly Continental Drift theory. In reality, the Earth is like a balloon inflating - any point you draw on it will drift further away from every other point over time.
