Hi

I purchased a flight on the QF website (Sydney-Jakarta return). On the outward leg I fly QF81 to Singapore and then connect with SQ968 to Jakarta.

Since I am on a QF ticket, purchased on the QF website, will I earn any points or SCs on the SQ sector?

A subsequent question - when purchasing the ticket I did not realise that QF81 stops in ADL on route to SIN. Do I earn point based on SYD-ADL-SIN or SYD-SIN?

You're knowledge is appreciated!
James

my answers,

1 no sc/points earn on SQ flight

2 as it's one flight number, you'll earn scs & points based on syd-sin.

Sounds weird, Qantas selling SQ flights on their website.
There's always QF41 direct Sydney/Jakarta, 4 times a week.

Plenty of examples where QF sell other airlines on their website - paticularly where there is no QF number going there on the day.

From late March, CX will resume Singapore - Jakarta, which may help with options in earning points on that sector.

The QF website currently seems to be selling EK, SQ, UA, NZ and a few others i think.

The fact that the ticket was purchased from Qantas does not make any difference at all when it comes to earning status credits and FF points. The place of purchase is not relevant. Status Credits and FF points earning is only about the flight number on the ticket and an SQ flight number is not going to earn any status credits or Qantas FF points no matter how it was purchased.
