Whilst coming into MEL last night I found it amusing to find the town of Gelong on the flight map.

Obviously QC manager at QF is a maggies supporter!

Sadly, if this same event occurred in the DJ Lounge or on one their flights, we would probably see a whole lot of complaints eg. lacking professionalism, risk to safety; just like it happens when they make funny (which I think is fantastic) on-board announcements, play dress up etc.

What are you referring to Alan? I frequently see Geelong, Werribee, Sale etc on the flight path map, I don't get your response :?:

Gelong is spelled incorrectly. I have seen this, and another town that escapes me at the moment.

Was it Port Headland (sic) instead of Port Hedland or Ayres Rock (sic) instead of Ayers Rock?
