Qantas refunds or travel credits on part-used tickets

My wife and I were traveling around the world for six months during covid19. Qantas cancelled our remaining two legs, being London Heathrow to Perth (departing 25th June), and Perth to Sydney (departing 1 July).

We booked via Flight Centre (unfortunately - I will never make that mistake again) and they have been particularly unhelpful and vague as to what happens under these circumstances. Their most recent message was "I won't have any further information on this" so effectively trying to wash their hands of dealing with it as it's too hard and/or they can't be bothered (this seems a unique situation - I'd understand if we cancelled a part used ticket but this isn't the case and I can't find any T&C's to outline my rights when they cancel on me and cannot offer an alternate flight home. We have since had to pay for a Qatar flight back to Sydney.

FC advised we would receive approx. $300-per person as a refund which only covers unused taxes. It seems no value has been apportioned to the remaining two legs which seems unreasonable.

For refunds (which I did not request from FC - I'm happy with flight credits) the Qantas website states "If you are entitled to a refund, the refund will be equal to the fare paid if no part of the ticket is used. If part of the ticket is used, the refund will be equal to the difference between the fare paid and the fare that would have been payable if booked for the travel taken". I've no idea how this is calculated so it's difficult to check this myself.

The key point for me is I didn't cancel - they did!

Does anyone know what my rights are in this situation? It seems ridiculous and very unfair that we would not be offered a credit close to the value of a one-way flight from London Heathrow to Sydney seeing as though they cancelled and this wasn't my choice. Thanks in advance for any advice!
