For those that want to pay cash for items in the Qantas Rewards Store (which you can do, and I know I've done recently), they have a general 1 week promo:
  • Spend $100 cash and earn 2,500 bonus points
  • Spend $250 cash and earn 5,000 bonus points
  • Spend $500 cash and earn 10,000 bonus points
This is on top of the standard 2 points per dollar you normally get for the cash component of Points + Pay items, or for any item you can pay entirely in cash. I'm guessing it's also only available to Aussie QFF members.

T&C's: Bonus points offer applies when using cash only or the cash component of Points Plus Pay and ends 11:59pm (AEDT) 25 October 2022 unless sold out prior. Qantas Points will not be earned on any orders made completely with Qantas Points, any tax and delivery charges or for the part of an order that you return, exchange or cancel. Qantas Points will be credited to the member’s account up to 30 days from the date the Retail Reward is dispatched. Qantas may extend or withdraw this offer at any time. Conditions apply.

Interesting. Sometimes item on sale can be comparable to retail prices using cash. Is anything on sale ATM?

Not just items that are on sale. For anyone with Points Club / Points Club Plus that gets the 5% or 10% discount on items, I found that also brings down the cash component of Points + Pay items. Only needed to use 2k points for my purchase a few weeks back, but got an item (headphones) at better than RRP, got the 2 pts/$ for the cash part, plus my credit card counted it as Qantas spend, so an additional 1 pt/$ on top of the standard credit card earn.

Just took a quick squiz, unsurprisingly buying QF gift vouchers is "temporarily out of stock" through their rewards store.
Can you buy QF gift vouchers with points+pay on the store? I though you could only use points (as other gift cards and vouchers I guess), which will prevent you anyway to spend the require dollars to score the bonus points.

I'd say that's likely (points only redemption options), but they did have an issue a while back where they (incorrectly) allowed certain gift vouchers to be purchased entirely by cash before fixing it, so I do check it every now and again.

It seems like non-QF gift cards are all still for sale. Reading the T&Cs I don't think there's any reason why these wouldn't count towards this promotion, right?

The difficulty may be finding one that accepts a cash co-payment. The banner has a single hat linking to the T&Cs:

The single hat says:

^ Points Plus Pay can be used for selected products (excluding gift cards or vouchers) using a combination of cash and a minimum number of Qantas Points. Any cash payment must be made using an Accepted Payment Card. To find out more visit Terms and Conditions or FAQs.

Edit: if only they all accepted co-payment. :(
