This is kind of a rhetorical question but why/how does Qantas totally change their flight schedules?

I had been considering a holiday to HNL in August 2018 and was happy to see that QF was offering a flight from SYD leaving at 2300 and arriving into HNL at 1155. This suited me as I hate the 600 arrivals of most flights and allows a relatively short period before our holtel room would be available. They also had a return from HNL leaving at 1300-ish which also seemed a much better option.

But now these have disappeared. WTF?

On the up side I guess if I had booked these flights I would be getting a 'your flight has changed' advice from Qantas....

Schedules change as airlines try and get better utilisation

With 787s being introduced into the fleet and the Kangaroo route shifting DXB to SIN I'd expect lots of timing rejigs

All airlines change schedules, most of it to do with fleet utilisation and a change of available aircraft.
