This might be a big ask but do we have a compilation of all the current Qantas seat types and the planes they are installed on?

For instance, I'm unclear on the differences between Dreamtime and Millennium, and what are the awful non-J seats on some older 737s?

I guess a sticky with photos of each type covering Y, W, J and P would be ideal.

Anyone we else think this is a good idea?

Thanks for that medhead. I see they have a few, but nowhere near the number of seats that are in service

OK, I thought I'd have a go at this. I've managed to collect some photos courtesy of Google Images search and these probably only scratch the surface of seat types out there in the wild....

This post covers some of the domestic seating:

Thanks for the images - I guess I have sat in all except for the BSI Business ...

Just an update for the internationally configured 763s with the Dreamtime seats in J.

These seats are nearly 20 years old, re-upholstered. Truly appalling :(

What do you expect them to do? I would much rather one of these seats compared to the domestic A330 seat.

These seats are still in use on some international long haul services, that's the appalling part. Expect them to do? Simple, about 5-6 years ago they should have been replaced with an appropriate international J product. It's just not that hard.

5-6 years ago it was expected that the 787's would well and truly be in service now, hence the lack of a suitable update.
The only long haul route they are being used on is the HNL route, yet the product is better than the direct competitors product.

Yes yes yes heard it all before but as a paying customer I couldn't give a toss, just that I'm getting a cough product. It's actually no better than HA's product which at least has AVOD but if QF would like to see itself as being on par with HA then that's a shame.

You are forgetting that QF has 6 more inches of pitch, plus the iPads are AVOD. I guess market forces allow both airlines to get away with that type of product...

Agree, it's a very dissapointing situation. When HA started with their new A330's they too had the chance to go just a little better but went with an old fashioned rather down market product, considering the expansion of their inernational routes one might have hoped at least for an 'off the shelf' angled lie flat like Air Tahiti Nui now have, see image below.

It's not just HA - Soon to be AA as well:
I was confronted by these out of PHL last week: (They are Called Envoy by USair)

Remind you of anything?

The AVOD was a removal tablet designed to slide into a rack at the end of an extendable arm that folder out from the Armrest - for my "domestic" flight there was none.
