Hi all,
Im flying to honolulu from SYD in september on QF in economy and want to use my FF points to upgrade to business.
I am Qantas club and silver FF. What are my chances of gettin the upgrade?? Ayone had any experiances with this sector???

Probably pretty good. No sane person would pay what they ask for "Domestic J" hard product on the old 767. If you pay, you go Starclass for a more "reasonable" price.

Well put the waitlist in at your earliest convenience as you've got to be in it to win it. In the meantime you could always select 24F which will give you more leg room without having to pay extra for an exit row seat.

Did this once; QF3 ... upgrade came through and travelled in 4A Dreamtime.

However, that was as a WP.

The 11sjw family went down the *class path. Two classic awards and one cash (for me naturally, Mrs 11 isn't an SC cough like me!)

Don't do it. Gave up my precious points for two J upgrades and shocked to find the old business class seats in an old 767 aircraft. As soon as the seatbelt seats went off, the man in front of me reclined his seat back where it stayed the entire way. They didn't have any amenity kits left and I didn't get my meal choice. Both of us were WP!

It was the worst flight ever and I sat there the entire way gritting my teeth and seething that I wasted my points.

I have made the same trip in Starclass (sorry Jetstar Business) four times return and that is far better value for money.

Good luck,

Dave
