Booked a Classic Rewards trip for my wife and I to Las Vegas next year.
All was fine until QANTAS advised of a "change to our itinerary" which basically involved us having less than an hour transit in Brisbane and then being on our connecting flight from LA to Vegas three
hours before we arrive to LAX.
When I rang to enquire I was basically told there were no seats available (despite being available when I booked) and to "call us next year".
Anyone else experienced anything like this??

Yep it's very common for the automated system to give you negative connection times when rebooking due to schedule changes. I've had to call many times to get these resolved over the last couple of years.

I was speaking to a consultant in Hobart about it the last time I had to call and she said the system has been doing it for years and years now but the problem has only really become visible during COVID due to the scale of schedule changes that have occurred over the last couple of years.

2 people in what class?
When? Good chance schedules will change again next year.
Is it ???-BNE-LAX-LAS on QF-QF-AA?
QF can open award seats on QF aircraft, but only request for partners.
Be persistent with the phone operators. Many are not match fit / trained. Hang up and call again [HUCA]

Yeah I see this all to often schedule changes done by a bot or droid just focused on the affected flight with no regard for connecting flights
