Ordered a mixed dozen on 19th Dec, 10,000 bonus points, plus around 800 for the purchase via Q Amex.

Not a bad deal, as usual.

Anyhow, a month and few days later, still waiting for points to post. So today I phoned, and the pleasant helpful operator was apologetic for delay and stated that due to huge spike in sales just before xmas, a backlog processing points has been a big issue for them... and to give it another week or two. She confirmed the points and transaction on her screen.

Prior to this, many wine purchases have seen points hit account in a few days.

Surely there is something deeper than a processing backlog.

Anyone else waiting for Epicure points from pre-xmas transactions?

They used to be almost immediate and people have relied on that.

I dare say it is a processing backlog, but not simply posting points to accounts. The cynic in me thinks that some-one along the chain has delayed payment - possibly the 'Qantas Wine' entity, paying Qantas Loyalty for the points, so no points issued. So the customer gets screwed - temporarily, one hopes.

Shouldn’t take over a month, particularly same brand entity.

Amex/utilities/other sources generally take a day or two.

This long delay takes us back to the ‘computer system upgrade’ status credits posting lag of May 2018.

Ameteur hour.

Bigger issue is missing or wrong wine. Points easy to chase. Wine not so much - especially when your chosen wine goes out of stock.

OP update.

That night, after calling,, the missing 10.8K points posted to QFF account.

Coincidence?

I made a pre Christmas transactions with both Qantas Wine and Virgin Wines.
The Qantas Wine case arrived early which was excellent, however the Virgin Wine case got impacted by their contractor Fastway and was delayed to a point that it came after Christmas (for an order made on the 08th of December), I politely requested that they redo the order and with Australia Post and that was a more accountable and quicker process. :)
