This may be good for some.

However, Since I value QFF points at a notional 2½¢ each, $20 for 3000 simply does not do it for me¹ ...

¹ that's a notional $75 for 3K!

Had to do a search to see what you were talking about. Looks really bad value to me. If I ever sign up for something like that, you have permission to commit me to an institution :p

seems strange - you can order a $100 woolworths gift voucher already in the QFF store for 14500 points. this would cost you 15000 for $100

not quite sure the point - seems that woolworths needs to get back some of the money they are paying qantas for all these EDR card points...hence this new deal to drive points back to woolworths

The redemption rate is pretty consistent with some of the $25 vouchers being 3750 points in the store.

For people that have signed up through Woolworths, don't really fly, and may only ever have a small pool of points it seems like a good option.

It's not a dissimilar idea to the way that other programs, such as Myer One work.

I guess could be handy for some if you have a few points at a loose end and no flights planned for the immediate future. Although I much prefer to use mine for upgrades or vacations every now and then I blow a few on a gift card and give it away to someone needy.

Matt

Received an email earlier today from Everyday Rewards! Here I was thinking I had received a targeted offer when all they were offering was $20 for my 3,000 QFF points. ::shock:

I hope they understand that at this stage I will only redeem my QFF points for Oneworld awards only. Now to quickly deletre that email as that "Choose Now" button is scaring me....

I had exactly the same thought - that they were sending me a mid-week offer :). Email was quickly deleted.
