This is something a bit different. Qatar Airways has launched a "Student Club" for university or college students between 18 and 30.

It's free to join and benefits include flight discounts, extra baggage allowance and free wifi onboard QR flights. You also get a Privilege Club tier upgrade when you graduate, if you've flown at least one round-trip with QR each year since joining Student Club (award bookings don't count).
