Qatar business and first class meals

Also got to try out the QR Lounge in LHR T4. My last departure they were still using T5.

Itā€™s a nice space, a la carte dining. Good service.
Last time I was there I was returning from a business trip and incredibly hungover from "dinner" with my local colleague the night before, so I couldn't enjoy the martini bar they had back then.

Was at a dinner recently and comparing post-covid travel experiences around the table. The lady next to me mentioned being in the CL with her boss and overhearing NP, who had apparently recently flown on a QR flight, raving about how "absolutely amazing" the inflight food was....

So what's he going to do with the QF offerings?

AKL-ADL menu
Flight was delayed by near on 2hrs and it had been a long day so after over indulging in some decent food in the Strata lounge I decided to skip the onboard meal and have a sleep. Was offered numerous snacks if I wanted and was told I could order a coffee and some food when I woke up. I slept right through until the approach to ADL call was made so wasnā€™t expecting anything but the great staff still said I could grab a coffee and biscuits. Evidently a few were grabbing coffees as a few minutes later I saw the crew handing out disposable coffee cups with lids and we were told we could hang on to them during landing. Accompanied by some chocolate biscuits and some chocolate. Thought it was a pretty nice gesture.

The menu looked pretty good IMO

I think the QR T4 lounge is one of the best lounges out there. It's not huge but it's spacious enough and doesn't feel busy. Great dining options, good showers and the usual QR amazing service. I haven't been to their SIN lounge but wonder how it compares?

The SIN lounge is amazing !!! I think the bar area is more impressive in that one.
They are probably similar sizes but a different layout.

For those interested, this was the F cellar for the flight. I thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed the selection (particularly the reds).

Wrapped it up with the tawny port - cabin attendant thought I asked for a tonic where she then asked whether I wanted ice and lemon. Was a funny interaction when I asked "how fortified is this tawny if you recommend ice and lemon??"

Very nice wine list for sure!

Always interesting how the value of the wine in the list varies from about $20 to $300+ šŸ˜‚

Very few vegetarian dishes, and the small offerings they had... had mushrooms so Mrs FB had pretty much nothing to eat. Unusual as normally there's at least something interesting veggie wise. The kitchen wouldn't make any of the dishes without mushroom either.

Gone are the days when they were serving Krug in the QR J lounge in DOH.
Indeed! Gone too are the days where you could get in there flying Y as a OWE and sip down the free Krug. They were the days!

On my recent LHR-DOH flight ..... a hot dog, just had to try it. Matched with the So Jennie non-alcoholic champagne, wasn't too bad actually. Better than the last time I tried it, although seems to have gone pink in colour now so perhaps a better grape blend.

DOH-BKK an appetizer of smoked salmon and caviar. Always go for the chilli oil, it's delish with the bread.

Both flights in J.

From QR901 and QR7 in the last couple of days.

All the times I've done multiple QR flights in a short time, the wine list has been the same. I wonder if you jagged a change-over?

In any case, would you like to comment on the in-flight wines - suggestions etc
