I just saw this on OzBargain. I think its just an openjaw rtn from DPS to OZ. I'm going have a play around on the Indonesian Qatar site and I'll report back.

edit: yeah open jaw return. I am seeing DPS-CDG-PER for $5,500 rtn for two on google flights.

Yah that's what I thought since you can find companion fares using the multi-city tool for $2.7K AUD (DPS-CDG / CDG-MEL). So this fare is just tacking on a separate flight to DPS ex Australian cities hence the stop over in DPS.

Slight difference in terms via the QR Indonesian site:

• Sales period: 1-10 November 2017.
• Travel period: 1 November 2017 until 31 October 2018. All travel must be completed by 31 October 2018.
• Blackout dates (travel not allowed): 15 December 2017 until 10 January 2018 and 7 June to 10 September 2018. Additional blackout dates apply in some countries.

I’m currently in Bali but getting .com website but prices in IDR. Only on iPad so multi city reverts as return DPS.

A similar fare deal is available ex Singapore - I just priced dates in May/June next year at SG$7,417 (A$7,100) for Sing/Barcelona/Per. DPS/Barcelona/Per is $7,250 for the same dates. Per/Barcelona/Per, including the "Australia Tax" is $11,100 for the same dates.

Bali is closest for us. But I can’t get the search to stick for DPS-Paris- and basically anywhere that isn’t Bali on return.

Works for me - cheaper than the Perth flight. I don't want to "teach you how to suck eggs", but are you using the multi-city option in the search parameters?

Yep. I can enter the multi cities fine but when I click search it comes up with only return. I’ve tried using the app - useless and safari and chrome on the iPad. Been trying all day - same frustrating return flight only result. And I’m ready to book but OS and without a PC until Saturday.

I thought it unlikely that you were not using the multi cities option, but I brought it up just in case.

I think that it is a problem with multi city bookings on the Qatar mobile system. As an experiment I tried to book your proposed trip using my Samsung tablet and got the same result as you- a default to a return flight to DPS I don't know enough to offer any useful advice to work around this apparent glitch.

But can you access a trustworthy PC from someone? Or perhaps contact Qatar direct.

Can anyone see anything better? To Paris by Monday 9th Sept then back to somewhere in Oz starting around 23rd Sept. I’d prefer to fly out of UK not Paris but price seemed to jump.

The TA came back with price($10,500) that included J from ADL - DPS but we will go cheap Jetstar.

That's odd. Using BCD travel i can see R class on DPS-CDG on the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th of Sept.
