In light of the changes to SQ redemptions etc etc i’m looking to move to using QR

I have BAEC and obviously that works seamlessly given that both carriers are OW

But if I travel domestically in Australia, and wishing to avoid the use of QF, does anyone know if I can registe my QR PC number on a VA booking and receive tier points and Avios.

I know it works the other way and VA provides a table of accrual rates but can’t find confirmation of the way I’m seeking to go (and it was always poor value registering KF on VA)

The calculator suggests that although you get Avios you don't earn Qpoints on VA domestic flights

Oneworld agreement in action again?
I don’t think so.
Pretty sure if memory serves me correct that you have never been able to earn Qpoints on QF domestic flights that weren’t part of an international journey either.
I remember looking into it when I was trying to find a new OW FFP so I could ditch QF.
I ended up switching over to BAEC

That was my recollection too but the QR calculator does seem to say they do (in AF/CDIJ/RTW/YBHKLM&V)

I was contemplating crediting all my flying to the PC instead of the BAEC but the tiers seem much more 'expensive'

I have just fallen back to BA Silver due to lack of flying. I have a couple of trips to Singapore planned this year; both in First and this will renew my Silver (OW Saphire) with around 200 Tier points in excess of the requirement (roughly one sector Sin/Syd in First). It would seem that I would have to do four return trips in BA First to renew QR Gold (OW Saphire).

QR doesn't operate the route

I compared the LHR/DOH and whilst there would be a modest advantage to flying on a QR marketed flight it would still require more flying than flying on BA (50 QPoints v 40 QPoints).

So, I'll stick with BA ;)
