QF A330-200 skybeds

Hi, Does anyone know which QF A330-200 flight in J class have skybeds leaving PER to SYD on MEL?

I've flown 5 time this year on the A330-200 but only once had a skybed

You cannot tell by the timetable, only by what aircraft registration: Fly - Onboard - Seat Maps - Airbus 330-200

It is random and even when you have preselected seats based on SkyBeds it can still change to old config when OLCI opens.

Welcome to AFF.

I am not sure they are on any specific regular flight, but to exist on some flights. For example, checking SYD-PER seat maps using ExpertFlyer on 26th May shows QF575 and QF581 are domestic config A332 and QF577 is an international config A332.

The SkyBed A332s are usually on the QF577/566 (SYD-PER-SYD) rotations. AFAIK, there are no regularly-scheduled SkyBed A332s on MEL-PER-MEL but starting next week it seems, A333s with SkyBeds will be on QF777/776 (six times a week).

All of this is of course, subject to change, given I have seen the domestic A332s and B763s on 577/566 from time to time as well.

Interestingly a colleague commented to me recently that the 330-200 Skybeds are quite different to the 747.

eg. water bottle holders in front in an above below configuration.
Suggests the six seats are a squeezy fit

This is also design of the Skybeds in the nose of the two class 744's.

Hmm. I'm on QF566 in July... but the seatmap on EF looks like the same as other flights that day. How does one tell if it's going to be the Intl J config - what's the difference in the two seatmaps?

In J the configs are similar between the intl A332s and the two newer domestic ones (EBM and EBN). You need to look at the seatmap in Y to ascertain if it's going to be an international or domestic one - the international A332s are missing the four seats in the middle ONLY in row 23, but the domestic ones either have -

• missing four seats in the middle in rows 23 and 24 (the newer AVOD domestic A332s), or
• do not have the four seats missing either in rows 23 or 24 (the non-AVOD domestic A332)

This forum never ceases to amaze me. Looks like I'm on the Int'l config then - missing 4 seats in row 23. Worth the 16k points to upgrade from Y? Hmmm.....

Also, the Domestic configurations have rows 36-42 and 44 whereas the international configuration goes from row 35 straight to row 45.
