Hi everyone, apologies if this has been addressed before.

I am planning a trip later this year SYD-PPT-IPC-PPT-SYD.

Would I be eligible to earn QF points and status flying Tahiti Nui for the SYD-PPT leg? I recall seeing mention of an affiliation between QF and TN on the website of some kind, but now can't find it! I note that QF points can be redeemed as an ASA for this leg, but not as a classic award. I understand the PPT-IPC (on LAN) will earn points as they are a OW partner!

Thank you for any advice

Hi robbegong, I am pretty sure that you'll get points and SCs if you're booked on the codeshare flights with QF numbers for AKL-PPT or PPT-AKL (QF3825 and QF3826?)

I flew this last week (SYD-AKL-PPT-AKL-SYD) all with QF flight numbers so therefore points/SC are awarded.

The TN metal legs are AKL-PPT-AKL while SYD-AKL-SYD are on QF metal. Was nice to be on a 330 across the ditch for a change!

You do need to be on the QF codeshare to earn QFF miles. When we went mrs.dr.ron was on the QF codeshare whilst I was on the TN flight-so i could earn AA miles which the QF codeshare does not.:)

Thank you very much for everyone's advice! I will be sure to book through QF now

If you're comfortable with booking SYD-AKL separately, you may well find it worthwhile to price the AKL-PPT legs on the QF NZ web site. ;)

Yes, this is very profitable at the moment! My AKL-SYD-PER journey in J over Easter ($1221 AUD) was cheaper than SYD-PER in J ($1451) on its own, due to exchange rate!
