QF apology gift voucher arrived in the mail!

So last month I did a MEL-LHR-MEL trip and on the return leg, QF10 was delayed almost 12 hours due to aircraft damage.
Obviously it was an inconvenience having to depart the next day, however I was pleasantly surprised when a $500 gift voucher (multiple purpose document) turned up in the mail today!

I'm not sure what to get with it, as pretty much all my personal travel for this year has been booked and paid for...

Can I book multiple trips with the same voucher? (ie 2x return domestic Y flights or JASAs)

The MPD says "valid for Qantas and OW travel (incl surcharges and taxes), excluding Jetstar services" but the enclosed T&Cs say "cannot be redeemed toward Jetstar services, Qantas Frequent Flyer Bookings, surcharges, fees or taxes"

You can certainly split. I part used a $300 MPD and got another one as 'change.'

Thanks, I'm guessing the "change" MPD has the same expiry date as the original MPD?

I'm also not sure what they mean about "Qantas Frequent Flyer Bookings" - do they mean ASA or classic award flights? Or that the flight you book goes into an award bucket and does not earn SCs/points...

It was supposed to be a 9.30pm departure and got pushed back to 9am the next morning. They put us up in a hotel around the corner for the night (Park Inn?) - return bus transfers included and gave us dinner and breakfast at the hotel.

Due to some mechanical or other issue, we weren't served a hot breakfast prior to landing into SIN so they had a hot meal on arrival for everyone (I wasn't hungry but it was Burger King). Then, at the lounge I got an upgrade to J!

I think there must indeed be a compensation God so I think a prayer (to the God of your choice) might be a good idea before any long-haul flight. Your treatment puts Qantas up in the heavens already!

Rang the call centre and asked them about the MPD - they said I could only use it for paid ticketed bookings (which includes taxes) but not for FF Classic award or ASA tickets at all.
Still a good thing to have - I'm not complaining!
