Things must be slow for QF in April:

Three Days Only - From BNE examples
SYD $79
MEL/TSV $119
CBR $109
ADL $129
DRW $169

No PER!

Not from BNE, but there are PER 'specials'

ADL $155
DRW $189
CBR $259

So can you buy a BNE/PER direct for less than $284.00 being the amount of purchasing two separate tickets BNE/ADL then ADL/PER assuming the specials are ex ADL to PER and not just ex PER to ADL:?:

Cheers

Mind you that is the normal way some of us do BNE-PER  20 Scs seems to just not cut the mustard!

Interestingly the dates in April are right in the middle of (at least the NSW) school holidays.
... but right after Easter ...

April/May is a traditionally a slow time of year when travel budgets start to dry up in large companies ...

But good if you wanted to stay overnight in ADL as you are essentially getting a 'free' stopover in ADL for the same price as a through fare for same day travel BNE/PER.

Cheers

Slow time? School holidays. Usually this is the time for gouging.

Was there a similar sale last year? From memory hardly ever see a sale around Easter. Things may not be as rosy as they expect....

Yes, their ad actually mentioned that it included school holidays (sorta).

School holidays...ah yes (what a pain in the cough).

But, moving on, I saw a DJ Happy Hour special yesterday that included $45 flights SYD-MEL to 30 June. Now that is slap bang in the school holidays (pity I couldn't use it).

Things can't be all that great for the airlines.

Can't think of a recent time when QF have allowed their travel to be over school holidays. But regardless of the reasoning behind it, it's good news for the travelling public! I know I've snapped up a few seats at these prices.
