Just noticed that Qantas and British Airways have a business saver fare to Singapore in December for just less than $1900 each way r/t basis. Usually over $3000 each way.

Hmmm .... generally that time of year is known as "op-up" season since more travel then other times travel is not business related.

Seems the JSA partners are trying to extract an additional $ or two rather than sell the seats at economy prices.

On a related note, don't restrict yourself to J if you're prepared to spend ~$3,000 each way. Qantas are doing F on A380 for ~$3,350 each way (usually $5-6k if memory serves).

Almost tempted to find an excuse to spend a few days in Singapore :)

Very nice

If I had an income I’d be very happy.

Don't know if the BA one way upgrade is applicable to this fare. Book J and fly F one way. Might ask at the travel agent.

British Airways said that if you book before 02/10/10 with a travel agent or BA then you will get the upgrade to first class on one leg of the trip for free.

Yep noticed some nice fares to Europe in J and F for Dec/Jan - though strangely enough, only BA is offering the F fare his year. Fare basis IXMAS and AXMAS for those interested.
