QF Booking details page given facelift

I see that when you view a booking from "Your Bookings" it appears to have been given a facelift.

And thankfully all airlines now seem to show the correct class.

....Still waiting for the ability to select seats on Qantas flights!

I have also found that where the QF computer can't work the class out [ie for a flight with some other airlines] it won't default to "economy" as it used to and panic passengers who thought they were in business, it now simply says "confirmed".

It now shows the correct classes for Cathay and Dragonair - which previously used to default to economy.

There was a period a while back when Qantas award F showed as "economy" also.

You are right - it now shows correct class for other airlines.

Although, I have 2 requests in for upgrades from QF Bus to First however it says:

"An upgrade to Business is requested. Status of upgrade will be shown 5 hours before departure"

This is wrong as the upgrade request is TO FIRST!

I guess they are still ironing out the bugs!

Just checked another booking with a Y-J upgrade request and it says:!!

"Note: An upgrade to Economy is requested. Status of upgrade will be shown 5 hours before departure."

Upgrade to Economy - from what[are they planning a lower class!]!!!!

I know QF started doing this a while back, but it only seemed to happen for bronze (and perhaps others), but not WP.

What status are you? I hope WP still get the benefit of knowing roughly 24 hours in advance.

My dom upgrade came through today and now says 'confirmed'.

I took the advice here and saw there were 2 u seats available so got one, DRW-PER is a reasonably long flight so well worth it IMO, even though only a 738.

Maybe they are starting to put people into the overhead bins? Or into the cargo hold? :shock:

Just checked and looks like there has indeed been some minor changes.

Apparently QF now considers a NZ flight to be a "Qantas partner flight" with a blue triangle next to the flight number! Surely they should only use that for OneWorld flights or does OneWorld partners have their own symbol?

They don't show the booking class nor the booking code for NZ flights -- just the status (e.g. Confirmed) and the travel time.

I've just checked my international booking, and notice the following...

Seat Allocation: 24F now reads as Seat Request: 24F

There is a Qantas logo on the right of the booking reference.

It's also interesting to note that once you put in an upgrade request and it shows as wait listed, the booking class of the original booking disappears.

As per the other comments, yes mine also reflects that.

My bookings on Qantas.com showed the following:

Hmmm ... not too worried the only change in the last two days was this morning from F0 A0 J7 C7 D0 Y0 ... to F2 A2 J7 C7 Y0 ... This can vary plenty when upgrades being processed. So I'm think no processing as yet for a mid morning flight tomorrow.

20 minute ago I saw F4 A3 J3 C3 D0 Y6 B4 H4 K4 M5 L4 V4 ... , so checked MMB on Qantas.com ... It's back to:

A quick look at C/M/T shows business has been confirmed (Yay!)

Note, there is still no point deduction.

I think the web site has now been programmed to not show the result of an upgrade request until that 5 hours prior. Previously when I saw Confirmed on C/M/T, it would also show Business on Qantas.com.
