This will go down well:shock:

Probably explains why QF can't deliver domestic priority boarding even though their web site says it is available to QF WPs. I also suggest not paying dividends make it easier to pay yourself the profit (is there really a profit???), instead of your shareholders.

What is it with executive pay rises?

We are still trying to recover from the global financial crisis (some would say it is not over either) and executives cannot control their greed....

They met their KPI. They get what was outlined in their contract. There are plenty of execs that get paid way more than that.

I personally don't believe anyone should be paid anywhere near that much. But this is not exactly uncommon.

Seriously! Do we need to make unqualified statements about anyones salary - or shall we just stoop to the same levels as the Qantas bashing media who fail to point out that it is probably KPI based, a share option and other goodies?

3 words.... TALL POPPY SYNDROME

Hey platinuM. Horses for courses. If you were the top QF shareholder, having received NO dividends for 3 year and having seen a PPS drop of 50%, would you be happy with the QF CEO receiving such a increase in their compensation?

While share price down and no dividends - revenue up 8% and PBT up 46%.
Not a huge number of big aussie companies had performance like that this yr.
Most of the $5m in shares as well from what i read.

But what about us long suffering and loyal QF shareholders who have seen nothing but a PPS decline and no dividends for the 3 AJ years? AJ simple message, look after the QF shareholders and pay us a decent dividend and drive the PPS upward before looking after yourself or I will "reJoyce" when you are removed.

One needs to ask why you still hold QF shares if it is such a bad investment

Obscene, totally obscene.

$96,153.84 per day after all the crying poor and turning his pockets inside out to employees and shareholders.

Selling them now will crystallise the losses and they can surely :confused:only go up from now...

$5M is not that much really for the CEO of an organisation that size which is achieving its short term targets.

Under the new "two strikes" rules, as a shareholder you'll be able to vote against his remuneration package and spill the board

Shareholders to vote on pay packets

Short term targets should not be the be all and end all of compensation , if it was where are the Pilots pay rises? Have we not learned from our past mistakes on a collective scale such as the GFC.

When the changes were announced by AJ, I noted in the thread at the time that the executive remuneration had been dramatically increasing in the past few years:

At least AJ is no where near the levels Dixon got in his last year (at least rumoured to have got )!
