Was just waching the video.

I enjoy the timelapse, but yes it is not very Christmassy(?)

I thought the card was a nice touch though as you say not very Christmas orientated.

Is this a first or have they done it previously?

I quite liked it as you generally don't have such a good view of the apron.

Anyway, happy that someone actually thought to do something. This is the first one I can remember from QF at Christmas.

I liked it with the red aircraft. Shame she had a white nose.

I though this was awesome! I was glued to the screen when I watched it first, then had to watch it again :D

The lack of an Xmas theme is just another sign of PC gone mad and not wanting to offend the sensibilities of a minority. Or their creativity dept wasn't feeling very festive this year.

Not really PC gone mad at all. Have you been to MEL lately?
They have got a DJ playing christimas tunes, with christmas trees everywhere, and also have a dancing christmas tree and pressie, with the salvo's playing christmas tunes!

I love how it ends with "Thanks for your support through 2010"! Press-wise it's been a big (bad) year!

Virgin Blue/Velocity Rewards equivalent is up at

Velocity

This is a lot more what I thought a Christmas card should be like, although I thought something was strange as the background images seems to imply that Virgin has adopted Korean Airlines colour scheme - I don't know why they couldn't have just used a shot from SYD T2 rather than having to photoshop something together?

Given that the NZ Ministry of Transport just approved the NZ/DJ tie up today Virgin have a bit to celebrate!

Oh, it moves??

I thought it was an astonishingly lame picture with an equally lame "Wishing you joy and happiness" splashed across it.

Clearly my work computer doesn't have the latest Flash installed.

Virgin Blue... I don't know why they couldn't have just used a shot from SYD T2 rather than having to photoshop something together?

I suspect they had to photoshop something together so that the ground staffer could write "forwards" to get the result that he appears to be writing "backwards" (from his perspective. :-|

As they say it is the thought that counts.

Don't remember receiving anything from Qantas in previous years....

I got the email card for the advisory panel members... last year I got a bottle of olive oil...

Nice little video. Is the underlying message suppose to be that flying Qantas means you will spend a lot of time in the terminal watching ground operations :D

Touche'. Watched it this morning when I woke before I put my contacts in and all I could think was this is what I see from the DOM J Lounge every time I fly ;)

As for its 'political correctness' as an international airline QF caters to many cultures, nationalities and beliefs including atheists. We live in a secular society. Not everyone celebrates Christmas. As such, I quite like the non-denominational season's greetings.

I agree. I prefer something like this to an assumption that I celebrate Christmas (even though I do). Besides, the jingling bells are christmassy enough, I think.

If they'd waited a few days they could have snapped QF B744's covered in snow at Heathrow - much more appropriate;)
