Is there anyway to get a list of QF codeshares on EK from Dubai?

Basically i want to get a QF codeshare flight from Dubai to Venice. Qf website gives me EK135 for Dubai to Venice but no QF codeshare.
I was looking to try to go Business so dont want to miss out of the Status Credits.

Is it a case that if its not listed on the QF website they likely dont offer it and i have to go EK flight number for that segment?

Pretty sure you can only get the codeshare as part of a connecting flight out of Australia.

If a single ticket, will have to be on QF metal out of Dubai (i.e. to LHR) or on an EK code.

Yep
Sorry
It would be from SYD either an EK codeshare or QF metal flight SYD to Dubai. I just want to connect onto a QF flight codeshare. EK has the flight but i want to know if they codeshare. I dont want to get on in and find they do and i lost out on getting status credits

Yes. EK have QF code share to and from Venice and most European ports. But you will have to book through QF or travel agent, not through EK. See QF web site or call QFF.

QF website as mentioned are only giving me the EK flight number options not a QF codeshare for that flight. So i wanted to know if it exists at all.

Ok. Called them. They don't code share it. Apparently not all Emirates flights are approved yet.
Shame cause I loose heaps of status credits. Almost thinking of flying to London then London to Venice. But its $1000 more

Ok. I thought we had one booked from last Xmas, into Vienna and out of Venice but must have imagined it. There's always BA out of London, although I think I'd prefer the DXB VCE direct rather than stuff around with BA, despite loss of a few SCs.

We werent able to get Q codeshare on our flights from Adelaide to Venice last year through Dubai. No status credits either, obviously.

As mentioned, Venice is one of a small handful of European Emirates destinations that Qantas doesn't codeshare on.

If you would prefer to fly to Europe on QF number, flying to London and connecting on BA is an option. Otherwise, QF codeshare to Rome and Milan.

Another option could be to fly into Düsseldorf on a QF number, and connect to VCE on Airberlin

Other notable ommissions include CMN, ALG and TUN.

I would codeshare to Milan and take a fast train to Venice...we did that earlier this year:)
Train trip is fast and cheap and takes in good countryside:)

Ah yes that's a good idea. You get the SCs, better planes (380), all classes (F&J) to MXP and also get to see the Italian country side in the bargain!

Also, of the the several ways I have arrived in Venice (plane and train), I found a train directly into Santa Lucia (main station) from another city much easier than having to transfer at the airport (outside Venice) to another form of transport (bus, train) to actually get into Venice. If your hotel is near the station you can even walk straight from the train. On the other hand the people you see struggling onto the Vaporetto with luggage never look to be having fun.

Venice is one of those cities where you have to plan your arrival and exit strategy carefully.

I am not sure how easy the plane-to-train transfer is in Milan. There may be codeshare cities where the Venice train passes through the airport station.

If you can afford a personal boat transfer from Venice airport to your hotel on the Grand Canal you may ignore this advice. ;)

We purchased a shared water taxi from the airport - but the other couple didn't show, so we had a private transfer on one of those beautifully crafted wood panelled craft, on a bright sunny afternoon so we stood up in the rear cabin and felt like James Bond. One of our most enduring memories of Venice. LOVED VENICE!

I just would play around with a few QF/EK Destinations. Sometimes the price differences are quite steep. Just look at the airports with a good connection to VCE.

AMS with KL as feeder.
MUC/FRA with LH as feeder.
BCN with Vueling as feeder.
DUS with AB as feeder.
BRU with SN as feeder
IST with TK as feeder.
MAD with IB as feeder.
CDG with AF as feeder.

The feeder flights can be booked quite cheap. Allow enough time to connect, as most do not interline luggage.
