I bought a QF Companion J Fare SYD-LAX last year which basically worked out as a 2 for 1 ($5000 each). I'm wondering if that sort of sale comes around every year or whether I should jump in now and buy up where the current fare is $5999 return.

Thoughts?

The 2 for 1 has come around the past few years, but $5999 return on QF in J is pretty good!

Great :) Hopefully a better season than the past 2 :(

From memory the companion sales came around in Feb over the past few years, but not this year.. Not to say it won't happen later...

$6k on QF, as I said, is good, but a saving of $2k is better...

Personally I'd book it now and then not look again in-case the companion fares come up again

It's been quite a while since QF has been under $8k for J, I waited and waited months for a 2-for-1 fare last year, (May-December) and gave up and just booked 1 F and 1 Y+ seat.....

From memory i bought my 2-4-1 tickets sometime around mid year last year. Maybe this will be as good as it gets.

And yes let's hope it buckets down.
