QF have sent me an email to join their Customer Advisory Panel (details below).

I am just wondering if this is to sent to just about everyone on their database, or they are actually interested in what I think about QF. Has anybody had any experience with this?

Initially, I'm flattered by my "exclusive invitation", but then, if it really is that "exclusive", then I'm thinking they would be offering a bit more than a chance to win $15,000 travel voucher.

I'm also someone who hates giving out personal info - I'll never speak to a tele-marketer - so I have some privacy concerns. Does anybody share my concerns, or am I just being too paranoid???

Thanks in advance.

Why is QF using a Canadian market research company?

Maybe the company has a reputation or a particular style of market research that no other Australian company can replicate for the particular job Qantas has in mind? Maybe they came in cheapest?

Not sure :)

Now the real question. Do they really care about the views of people, or is it just self justification for changes:

"As a Qantas Club member, what would you prefer - No alcohol in clubs, or a beat over the head with a stick upon entry". [99% of people in a recent poll told us they'd prefer no alcohol in the clubs]

Lock in option B) "beat over the head with a stick upon entry" thanks. :)

Adrian,

I received this same offer today, they must be working through a list.

Reggie

I had actually sent an email to Qantas the day before I got my offer, in recommendation of one of their staff members. I wondered if that had any connection.

Not in my case, I haven't had any communication with Qantas in the past few months.

Well it's a long way down to me in any list that they might have. I won't hold my breath.:!:

No offer here - I would do pretty much anything for a $15K travel voucher opportunity so am gypped that they havent extended the opportunity to me.

Me too - I'd be more than happy to provide honest feedback - as I do from time to time: both positive and negative!

Got an invite today:o

Try putting your post between

Whats the criteria?

Plat?
Nuh! The poster before you is only QF Gold.

My guess would be random. I haven't been invited to this one but I did have a call a few months ago asking me to participate in a Qantas information feedback session which I declined.

Well, as a QP NB not-fly-a-helluva-lot person, I just received the call-up, so I can only guess it's:

a) random, or...
b) specifically requiring a 'frequently flying WP thru rarely-flying NB' range of opinions, or...
c) some other selection method I can't think of

Anyway, unless the intial questionnaire is too intrusive, I'll sign up and see what happens.
