Howdy.

Did a search for this topic but couldn't find anything that seemed relevant, so here I am asking :-)

I've made an AA Award booking to fly QF metal domestically in J - do I automatically get lounge access? I don't have status with QF or AA :-(

Cheers.
Phil.

Yes, that is what we did six week's ago. We flew QF in J, Melbourne to Sydney, before transferring to J on AA to LAX - we used the QF business lounge in both Melbourne and Sydney and it was excellent. Both were award flights and were booked with our AA miles

You will have access to the Qantas club or the Qantas Business lounge (PER,MEL,CBR,SYD,BNE)
The Oneworld rules for lounge access by class of service are here (https://www.oneworld.com/ffp/lounge-access):

[h=3]oneworld lounge access for First Class or Business Class customers[/h]Indulge yourself before departure in a wider range of airport lounges when you fly First Class or Business Class with anyoneworld member airline.

  • Customers flying First or Business Class have access to the equivalent class of lounge regardless of their frequent flyer status. First Class passengers may use a Business Class or frequent flyer lounge if a First Class lounge is not available.
