Hiya,

Just a couple of questions I was wondering if the erstwhile members of this Board might assist with.

I may be booking premium economy with QF (LHR-Syd). I am a Silver Frequent Flyer so I understand I get a 25% bonus on miles. Here are my questions:

1. Do I get bonus SC for flying PE?
2. If I upgrade to Business using points will I still earn PE miles for the distance travelled or do I get nothing at all because I have used points to upgrade?
3. Is PE worth an extra 200 pounds over the BA product (I think I cannot upgrade on points if I take BA).
4. Virgin is about 400 pounds cheaper than QF for the same flying times - what do you think? Is 400 pounds worth it to fly with QF for the FF benefits?

thanks for any assistance

1. Yes. You'll earn "Full Economy" Status Credits (as opposed to most Economy fares being paid at "Discount Economy" Status Credit level. See Frequent Flyer - About the Program - Status Credits . You'll also earn a 10% bonus on FF points normally earned: Frequent Flyer - About the Program - Terms & Conditions and https://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/do/dyns/initialPointsEarned

2. You'll get the points/SC's for your PE booking.

3. The Qantas PE is much better than BA PE. Whether that's worth 200 pounds more is up to you.

4. Again it's your decision. The VA product is pretty nice, but I have not flown them to comment further.

As silver member, are you close to gold in SC? If so, then the benefits of gold have to be taken into account in choosing airline.
