QF Entertainment App & hearing aids

On today’s 737-800 flight, I wasn’t able to listen/view the entertainment through Bluetooth to my hearing aids on my IPad as the message kept coming up to plug-in headphones. The program would either lock or have the message reappear again a few seconds later. I didn’t ask the FAs as it was BNE-SYD so shortish and they were busy.

Does anyone have any workarounds?

Did the return flight today. I had no issue using Bluetooth hearing aids with my IPad for the QF entertainment app but my son kept getting the “plug in headphones” message using his laptop and cordless ear pods.
