Hi All. I just completed CNS-BNE-HKG-LHR with CX on there brand new J product and then BA on there new 77W. I was extremly impresed by there hard and soft products compared to QF. Espescially BA's New first. I am about to book QF LHR-HKG then CX HKG-CNS. In F then J. I feel like I am wasting booking QF F as it looks so old against BA'S new F. Is It worth it?

Hi All. I just completed CNS-BNE-HKG-LHR with CX on there brand new J product and then BA on there new 77W. I was extremly impresed by there hard and soft products compared to QF. I was hugely disappointed with BA's new F. It had received a lot of hype, but in reality it was only marginally better than F on a QF 747 and nowhere near F on a 380.

Assuming you are talking about QF 747 First, certainly it looks and feels dated compared to the 380 or indeed BA's New First, but it's still a great product IMHO. The personal AV screens are a little small and the decor very brown, but the food & wine is still superb, the service always great and the beds are comfy lie-flats with woollen quilts and mattresses.

Sure QF's 747 F isn't up to scratch with other offerings, but I'm still more than happy to fly it when it's the best option in terms of destination and schedule.

If you are comparing QF 747 F with BA NF - I agree wholeheartedly with you. IMHO, QF 747 F is the pits.....cough outdated product. In fact I would prefer to sit in BA OF.

If you are comparing QF A380 - I don't agree.

I found BA old F and QF 747 F to be similar enough. Maybe BA was "just" ahead.

BA new F is halfway in between QF 747 F and 380 F IMHO.
