Just looking at tickets available and this one came to me as a suprise.

SIN-PER rtn SG$2177

Interesting to note. Flights upgrade are not available on this fare. (Not that there is an F cabin SIN-PER)

Qantas had a UK sale in late Apr '09 offering LHR - SYD return flights in Business (I class) for £1990, price included all taxes!

Needless to say I quickly cancelled my existing booking departing late Jun / return mid Jul for the same flights priced at £3700 to the Qantas sale fare (which allowed stopovers) total saving £1700...! :D

LHR - SIN - SYD - SIN - LHR routing

And Qantas recently had a sale ex HKG for Premium Economy, Business and First ... Circa $A1200 return HKG-LON in Premium Economy. Business and First fares were keen, but not really that cheap for me to notice.

Sale has since ended.

Sales ex-other countries are common occurrences.

The normal discounted Y+ ex HKG to LHR is relatively cheap - and it's not a sale fare... quite different to Y+ ex Aus!

I am about to use my return leg of this ticket I purchased, so I am in need of another I class fare ex SIN to PER. I can't find any at a good price !

By pure chance does anyone know of any "specials" coming up? If not I will have to settle with a YLEE1YSG.

Just purchased SIN-BOM rtn in late April for $2677 in J which is real cheap. I also managed to get SIN-MEL rtn via SYD on QF31/32 for $4700 SGD in J, i was very happy. THese two trip splus my *class to BKK rtn from MEL will get my better half partner gold this year.

Cheap? Try ~AUD1,200 for BKK-BOM in business class late April. And by the way SIN-MEL is also way too expensive. People really need to think outside the square to get cheap airfares.

Obviously these are work trips as I could not possibly think anyone would pay ~$10,000 for partner to get Partner Gold on top of already attained QF Platinum status.

I guess for a status run and if it gets you where you want to be that's a good thing. But it really highlights the price of loyalty - last year I (my company) paid approx $3400 SGD for return to MEL on SQ, and Emirates are selling SIN-MEL return fares for $3042 SGD (~$2400 AUD at the moment) That I would be happy with.
