QF Pet Sitting

Had our house and cars trashed by a pet sitter and our dog nearly died. Did all our home work and checks beforehand, and spent ages recouping the cost so to traumatised to open this 😊.

It’s the mad paws tie up which I think has been going for a while

I’d be happier if they could bring back accompanied pet travel but obviously not a priority

I would say thank goodness they haven't. Having just done a month in Italy, I am over people with their dogs anywhere and everywhere. If you can’t leave home without your pet dog, just don’t go. The classic was the second last leg of our journey home was a family in front of us as we dis-embarked which had 2 adults, 2 kids, 2 dogs one which appeared to be a rescued greyhound and the other in a box, along with multiple large suitcases. It took a 10 seater Merc Van to carry them off to their hotel. Pity the dogs couldn’t express their opinion about their flight. During the trip, it seemed every restaurant was a place where you went with your partner, plus your dog/dogs. That said, have to say that during the trip, the first and only occasion where the dog was a pest was when the dog made a lunge at every person who who walked past their table.

Same experience in the UK last year. I’ve been assuming there’s a lot of “Covid dogs” that go neurotic without their owners?

Perhaps there should be a thread here for cat/dog sitters minders?

Well look, call me a bluff old traditionalist but when the dog has to see the vet in wet season NT, I’d rather pay $50 to fly them there than $1000.

Ditto when I’m relocating rescues to the east coast, etc etc

I would have thought it was the other way around…
