Hi all, I have on Monday, QF9 then QF5 then SK2636 to Stockholm, does anyone know the answer to the million dollar question - will SAS honour my OW Emerald status and let me into their lounges even though they are SA but Qantas treats them as a FF partner?

Also, is their a BA lounge on the train side of the airport at Frankfurt or are all lounges after security?

This just goes to show how much attention I pay to my surroundings - I'm normally not concerned about these matters because I would normally go through LHR - darn having to meet people in germany...

From the SAS website:

As a EuroBonus Gold card holder you are welcome to visit SAS Domestic Lounge at Arlanda airport when you are holding a same-day of departure ticket.
As a EuroBonus Gold card holder or travelling in Business class you are also welcome to visit SAS lounges when arriving from a SAS intercontinental flight.
If you are a holder of a same-day international Business class ticket with SAS, a Star Alliance partner or other SAS partner, you are welcome to visit SAS Business Lounge on the same day of departure at the respective airport.
If you are a holder of a same-day Star Alliance international First Class ticket you are welcome to visit SAS Scandinavia and Business Lounges on the same day of departure at the respective airport.

Why would a non-OneWorld airline honour OneWorld privileges? SAS is not a OneWorld airline so do not expect any OneWorld benefits from them. Being a QF FF partner airline has nothing to do with lounge access, only with earning and burning QF FF points.

And what is wrong with German's and Germany ?
I actually really enjoy it and just spend a couple of weeks there for work.

QF lounge is air-side in Frankfurt, not sure if there is any after customs or not.

QF now use the CX lounge at FRA (used to be the Delta Crown Room). As its not a real Qantas Club, it can only be used by QF passengers (Business Class, Qantas Club and OneWorld Sapphire and Emerald members) prior to the departure of QF6.

Funny enough, I'm meeting a true blue Aussie from Sydney and I never said there was anything wrong with Germans or Germany... I was pointing to the fact that I wasn't impressed having to stop over as I normally transit through Heathrow - hence also the original question as this SAS flight will be my first ever with that airline.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen ;)
