I had booked OW ticket for next week ("super saver") but had to cancel. So I called QF and they issued credit and my profile showed QF 9092, a pseudo flight. Anyway, the credit is for $268.00.

I then decided to book new flights (r/t, cheaper "red e-deal") but I found no option to use the credit to pay for new ticket. The new tickets were $282.

Difference is $14 but because I had to call QF, they charged $90 extra, reissue fee ($50) and service fee ($40).

Perhaps there is a way to use the credit online, which I don't know, but it seems I shouldn't be paying $90 in fees.

AFAIK the credit can only be used for full-payment of a new fare, not part-payment.

I don't know if that makes a difference. The only trouble I know people have is booking a multicity using a credit.

It can only be used for a part payment (in most cases), as you can only use it towards a fare of equal or greater value. I didn't know a O-W ticket had to be used to book another O-W ticket?
