Qf syd int guest access 25/12/09

Hi Folks,
I am travelling on Christmas day with JQ to Denpasar. Travelling party of 5.
I am a gold QFF and Mrs Batesy is a Platinum. I normally go to the Flounge when travelling with Mrs Batesy. The other three passengers have no status.

I am hoping to get all 5 of us into the J lounge on the day. I am hoping that QF will be gracious enough to allow 1 extra guest as it is Christmas day. Any thoughts on one extra guest is appreciated.

Sorry, I have no pass to help you out.

It sounds as though many times members have been successful in bringing guests in excess of entitlement, it has been by prior arrangement with the lounge staff. Probably worth giving them a call rather than just turning up?

Mrs and Mr Edison will be travelling to Wellington on Xmas morning on J. However, I am flying AirNZ so I could not help you in this case, as I am also a QF NB.

But surely there are tons of QF WP in AFF forum here that would be able to help you.

Bear in mind is that Xmas time is peak travel time so QF may not be lenient on letting in additional people than allowed. But at least you have time to plan for it now.

I'd be surprised if it would be busy *on* Christmas day though. You never can tell.

As a SG and WP you're only 1 short of having all 5 in. Perhaps try for a guest pass somewhere?

I think you have a good chance of getting all 5 into the business lounge on Christmas Day with a Platinum and Gold in the travelling party. Of course it depends on the lounge staff but traditionally Christmas Day is not a busy day. Would not hurt to ring up before the flight and check.

I am flying out on Boxing Day and would have loved to help but unfortunately I am flying SQ that day....
