Qantas
LT Gold
Qantas have a large number of destinations on sale in many classes.

Interesting sale as they don't advertise J fares very often.

No specials to LHR it appears :(

EDITED: I take it back, not advertised but there is something called "Limited" fare which I haven't seen before in I class for $7K :D

What I don't understand- now they got their great alliance with EK running and, if you want to get a good fare in Business, you're more London-focused than ever before! In Economy, they include all the new 1-Stop destinations in their special but bad luck if you're hoping for a J class sale, there's London and nothing else

How do you book this fare ?
Using their standard flight search MEL-LHR return in J is more like $9k.

Thanks

I am glad I dithered a couple more days. I bought a J ticket to LHR. It will be my first international trip in QF J. Just a pity I can't select my seats.

Why cant you select seats as you are booking business class you should be able to select straight away ?

I can't access the info online - including the flight details. I used a few travel vouchers I had to pay for the flights and the system does not like this. I will have to call Qantas and ask. It would be so much easier if I could see what is/is not free before making a choice.

Can you atleast see your booking in Manage My Booking?

Yes, it's there. I had 3 vouchers to use and one of the voucher references is now the ref for this trip. It has the correct start date but when I select that trip, I get the message to call Qantas. I just need to call them again to get seat requests in.

You will be able to see this on Expert Flyer seat maps.
Send me a PM if you don't have EF and I can look for you

Sale has churned up some very tempting JASA'S to the US finally :)

Hmmm I can't see anything out of the ordinary... I looked through the whole year MEL-LAX one way, one person and only saw the standard 155-160k all inc, or 96k + ~600tax... What am I doing wrong?
