Hi guys,

So my booking was made via an account manager from Flight Centre - attending a workshop in BNE so Asthma Australia had arranged it for me.

I was surprised to see the booking coming up on my Velocity account. Strangely, the onward journey is QF, return journey is VA.

Has anyone experienced it before? I can't seem to find my flight on QFF when I login to my app either. Really strange! See screenshot attached. Booking reference is VA, doesn't work for QF.

Not that it matters much coz I've no status with QF.

Thoughts and suggestions?

Thanks a dozen.

I believe Flight Centre uses Sabre, which is the same GDS that Virgin uses, so it will be seeing the booking that way.

To see it in Qantas, you will need the Amadeus reference for the Qantas segment.

Any idea how I can get it?

Do you have the e-ticket number?
QR Qatar manage my booking accepts e-ticket number. Also maybe MH. Then you get more information
You may have 3 PNR's:- flight centre, VA & QF

The travel agent can give it to you.
I would expect both VA and QF PNRs will show under the Flightcentre MMB (if not on the e-Ticket confirmation?

I used to see this a lot. Primarily we used VA for corporate domestic travel but occasionally there’d be a QF leg. Both PNRs could be seen online through the travel portal but they’d usually appear automatically in VA and QF because the corp TA had both my FF#s.

As an aside, I never had any issues with the respective points and SCs crediting automatically having both FF details in the system(s).

From memory, we used to get separate tickets but linked under TA booking ref. Which probably explains the ease of having both FF # in at the same time.

TA can things like (do) this.
Does not mean a double booking, just they have combo it.
With QF and VA, its still separate, as above mentioned, contact FC to see if they can give you the PNR of both, so you can put in the QFF and VFF # into each.
You can change the details, on check in, at the airport, just tell the check in person (ie, VA) what has happened.

No status with QFF, but don't let the QFF points from this flight go to waste so to speak.
Still put your QFF # into the booking, and keep collecting points, from EDR/WWR, 2000 EDR/WWR points gets you 1000 QFF points, over time, you will have 5000 QFF points, enough to use P+P, or 8000 QFF points, enough for a rewards seat, plus taxes, have to add a bit more QFF points or $.
QFF points last 18 months, so if you do collect enough in time, you will still gain out of the flight, hey if work is paying, you might as well gain from it, eh?
