It appears QF premium economy is now showing on seat maps for flights late next year.

Its showing from 1st April 2008 for QF1. Shows 4 rows of W at 2x4x2 at rows 34-37.

I'm booked on HKG-MEL QF30 in early Oct 2008. Was allocated seat 36G, but logging into EF I saw that I was moved to 40G which now happens to be the bulkhead row. I can only deduce that's due to the plane being reconfigured with W class.

The W config has row 40 as ABC-DEFG only. There is no 40HJK. Then row 41 is ABC-HJK. These two rows form a mini-cabin behind W.

So not sure how much of a bulkhead it will be at row 40 until we see it. It may just be a curtain or it may be a full wall.

I have little personal doubt that it will be crew rests in seat 40H/J/K.

In which case, 41H will replace 34H as my preferred WHY seat on the Kangaroo configuration.

I was just booking an awards flight to London for early next year and Y+ has been loaded into the awards booking system.

(Apologies if this has already been pointed out somewhere)

Cheers

Not on Qantas - only on BA
