'The Age'/'SMH' (quoting an anonymous passenger) state that patrons 'sat at the airport for seven hours' before they were transported to a hotel.


Passports were collected, and as the passenger opined, were 'literally taken in a duffel bag' by Azerbaijani border personnel (accompanied by a QFi representative - who would this be?) to be issued visas one by one. after approval


Similar to the experience of SQ passengers on at least one previous occasion.


The media is silent as to whether passengers are confined to their hotel, or allowed to wander and see the sights (although it being 0515 local time and dark as sunrise is not until 0800, not much point at this hour).
