Hoping someone can help me out with what happened to this flight this morning.

Having OLCI'd and selected 24A on an A330-200, I was sitting in the J Lounge when I heard my name being called among a number of others on 409. This was a little strange, as I'd OLCI'd the previous day.

On seeing the counter staff I received a new BP for 26F. OK, I thouht, change of aircraft; must be a 767 now.

After boarding though, it was clearly still an A330, and I was now in the middle of the row!

There definitely was a 24A, so presumably something must have happened to require a reshuffle of a number of people (there were plenty of people finding their OLCI passes weren't working). But what would it have been?

Hi,

All I can assume is that there could have been a family with a baby that was sat in the bassinet row? But that shouldn't have affected you in the A seat. However, there could have been a late request for special handling that required someone with special needs to be seated there.

I know that with the new Advanced Seat Selection, that if you are changed due to a passenger with special needs being seated in your selected seat (I don't know how they are allocated) then, you will not be notified, so you would need to check upon OLCI. If you are CL then you would be notified, that being the only exception.

Quite possibly there could have been an equipment change within the A332 fleet (as their are 3 diff configs). But again, don't see how that could affect you in the A seat.

Maybe there will be someone else on here who knows different. I do apologise that your seat change was not particularly ideal, but I know that we cannot guarantee your seat selection.

If the flight was fairly empty, then people might have been moved around for trim reasons, but I doubt that for the route and time of day.
