Just booked on QF415 SYD-MEL. Equipment listed as 763/ER. I selected 43K, listed as a exit row window seat. However, all of Seatguru shows this as being a stock standard seat. Any advice as to what's happening there? For a short flight I'd always rather a window over legroom and I'm thinking it might be one of those exit seats with the tiny window.

Which date? There are a number of variations of the 763 and seatguru may not have each one listed.

I think 43K is an exit seat on the ZX's (ex BA).

If it is it has great leg room.

Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

It is a ZX 767 and are probably the best of the exit seats on the 767s

Just be aware that the actual operating equipment can change without notice and you might be left without your preferred seat.

If you have an iPhone I would suggest getting MyFlights - it constantly checks your bookings and gives you notifications when things change...

Thanks. Have requested 43. I'll have a look at my flights tonight

Simon,

There are several apps with similar names. Do you have the exact title by any chance:?:

Its a pity it doesn't import itinerary data straight from TripIt as it has very detailed info.

If you type "My Flights - free" and the icon is verying shades of blue with plane in the centre. Hope this helps

Just in case am adding this - you find it via iTune apps page

That's the one - mine is the HD version rather than free (I don't get free Apps if there is a paid version). It is version 2.

I find it incredibly useful - moreso than TripIt which almost has too much information and I couldn't get it to work with my work calendar. Also the appointments that it puts in are a bit ridiculous for me - I never check in to a hotel at midday...

TripIt also doesn't have seat info which is a key thing for me due to OCD ;)

The only negative thing about My Flights, for me, is entering the DJ flights manually. I love the map in version 2, as it lets me see the dodgy GIF-VCH segment in one of my bookings.

TripIt will actually show seat data if you pre-select your seat. However, with most (e.g. QF) the e-ticket email is generated before seat selection. Having selected your seat then find the link to re-email the booking confirmation. If the info is included there then TripIt will include the info.
