How to you go about transfering/converting Qantas Frequent Flyer poitns to Asia Miles?

I like CX more and it takes less AM to redeem a flight to japan (60,000 QFF vs 45,000 AM)

You don't!

Once a QFF point; always a QFF point (unless it's redeemed or 'expires').

FWIW, generally, the best award flight redemption value with Qantas can be had by booking a QFF "oneworld" award from 142,500 points in WHY.

You can say that again. I may have enough for another one next year as long as there are no enhancements between now and then.
