Many will recall that there were a series of changes made to the QFF terms and conditions late last year. Here is some background from CAV regarding those changes: CAV Media Releases - cavMarch2008 - 05-03-2008 - QANTAS AGREES TO CHANGES TO FREQUENT FLYER TERMS AND CONDITIONS~

(I would have tacked this onto a thread about it if I could have found one!)

Qantas has agreed to change the terms and conditions of its frequent flyer program following in-depth discussions with Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV).

Minister for Consumer Affairs, Tony Robinson, welcomed Qantas' changes to make its frequent flyer program fairer for consumers.

"The changes ensure the Qantas Frequent Flyer program complies with Victoria's unfair contract terms legislation," Mr Robinson said.

Also there is a note toward the end about other ailrines

CAV is currently negotiating with another major airline about its loyalty program.

In early February, Mr Robinson requested CAV to review the terms and conditions of discount airline consumer contracts for compliance with Victoria's fair trading legislation.

"Consumer Affairs Victoria has advised me that they have met with representatives of discount airlines and consumer groups and will report their findings in coming weeks," he said.
