Qantas has agreed to change the terms and conditions of its frequent flyer program following in-depth discussions with Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV).
Minister for Consumer Affairs, Tony Robinson, welcomed Qantas' changes to make its frequent flyer program fairer for consumers.
"The changes ensure the Qantas Frequent Flyer program complies with Victoria's unfair contract terms legislation," Mr Robinson said.

CAV is currently negotiating with another major airline about its loyalty program.
In early February, Mr Robinson requested CAV to review the terms and conditions of discount airline consumer contracts for compliance with Victoria's fair trading legislation.
"Consumer Affairs Victoria has advised me that they have met with representatives of discount airlines and consumer groups and will report their findings in coming weeks," he said.
