QFF - Oneworld

Do QFF members automatically receive membership to OW or do you need to join separately? If so how is this done.

My understanding (I stand to be corrected) is that by joining the frequent flyer program of a one world partner you automatically become a one world member,I don't think that you can actually join one world,as such,without joining through a partner airline.

Qantas is a member of One World so there is no need to "join".

Actually I suppose that nobody actually "joins" one world themselves,as
one world is really just an alliance of airline partners and therefore the only real "members" of OW are the airlines.

Correct, there is no real way of joining "OneWorld". You can join the FF Program of one (or more) of the member airlines. Depending on status, other airlines in the alliance will extend various benefits.
