Hello again!

How long does it generally take for QFF's to get their SC's from partner airlines?

My AA flight LAX-EWR came through in about 4 days, whereas I am still waiting on my return AA flight EWR-LAX which was on the 21st (of April) US time..

It says wait upto 8 weeks before filing anything but sheesh!
Is it completely random?

(If you can tell, I don't fly AA often.) :)

Cheers!

AA are normally pretty good with this so I would probably lodge a missing report through the web site OR give them a ring after about two weeks if I was you.

You can't lodge AA claims though the web site.

An email with scans of BP's and copies of the original etickets attached to:

  • frequent_flyer < at symbol > qantas.com.au

Thanks serfty. i knew that but had a momentary brain failure.  :D

Got a reply from Qantas regarding the issue.

He basically said the same thing, send a copy of my E-Ticket and Boarding pass and he will investigate further. Since I threw out my boarding pass already (AA boarding passes are cheap bits of paper, I think I tore it anyway..) he suggested I send in my checked baggage tags which would have my flight info on it, well, yeah, I'm carry-on only.

SO he also suggested I write AA and get some sort of confirmation from them as he is unable to access AA confidential flight records. He didn't seem the least bit phased that my activity statement reads QF11 SYD-LAX, AA114 LAX-EWR, QF12 LAX-SYD. Perhaps he thinks I have a little scam where I fly to the other side of the country and drive back then demand Status Credits. :D

Has anyone else been through this before?
If so, did AA give you any kind of e-mail with your flight info?

Cheers!

Well, you could have flown on one of a number of other carriers between NY and LAX (rather than driven), so that's why I suspect that they want some proof you flew on AA...
