Greetings:

I recently flew from HNL to LAX. I had a fully paid F Class Ticket and was connecting with an Alaska Airlines Flight in LAX (AA Codeshare).

When I booked in the flight from HNL to LAX was running late and they only thing AA could offer me was an F Class ticket on United Airlines.

Am I still eligible to earn status credits etc on this flight, considering everything was ticketed and paid to AA?

Thanks in Advance,

Clint.

If the flight number is UA (i.e. not an AA flight number) then no earning to QFF. It make not difference who took your money or who issued the ticket. The only thing relevant to QFF earning is the combination of flight number and fare class. No earning for a US flight.

That is by "the [public] book" - but generally does not reflect reality if a QFF member pursues the SC's/points.

I'm sure many of us have been able to garner "Original Routing Credit" in such circumstances - see this post from the thread linked to by Mal:
Just an update, the SCs and FF points were credited within 24 hrs of sending an email with all docs attached, I finally got around to doing that this week. Thanks all! :)

My reading of the OP has nothing to do with "original routing credits". I read that they purchased a fare from aa.com that was a flight in first class on a UA flight. aa.com does sometimes list UA (and other) flights for sale. If they purchased a UA flight, whether from aa.com or anywhere else, there is no way to convince QFF to pay points/SCs for "original routing credit" when the original routing was always on UA.

If the original ticket purchase was for an AA flight, then there may be recourse under the original routing credit.

While that is true, it does not apply to the OP.

They wrote they missed a booked AA codeshare (on AS metal) flight from LAX on a "F class ticket" due to a late AA inbound from HNL.

Presumably it was all on the one SABRE PNR.

Looks like I completely misunderstood the OP
