Do you think that Qantas FF will start giving out points for JetSaver fares in the future?
Or maybe Jetstar will open up their own program..:)

Their sales would go up if people could get points for flying JetSaver.:D

Methinks not; goes against the JetStar birthing philosophy.

JQ were only forced to give points and SC's for JetFlex as Business travellers basically would avoid travel where they did not get get any Frequent flyer benefits.

I wouldn't have thought so. Tiger don't offer FF points, and I wouldn't be so sure the mooted Virgin Lower Cost Carrier would give them out either.

Just be thankful they went in that direction. QFF could have made cheap fares on QF non-earning and aligned that way instead.

Hmm, a little close to home perhaps??? ;)

Wouldn't that have pissed off too many loyal customers?

(Smaller posts seem to work)

As far as Qantas is concerned (and most airlines for that matter) "Loyal"="Revenue".

They did piss off many customers by dropping QF from quite a few routes having JQ only. Business travellers simply found some place else to go that had J class and/or FF points & SC's for travel.

Hamilton Island is a case in point. When Qantas initially made it a JQ destination with no QF (and no J/SC's/Points) the conference business on the island collapsed. Due to many complaints from operators there Qantas had to reinstate QF flights.

It is only now that the Jet Flex gives full whY SC's etc. and a better selection of seats that Qantas have been able to again make HTI JQ only.

I know what you're getting at (JQ only from main cities), but do note that QFlink still have a daily service to/from CNS on a Dash 8 -300, so the flying kangaroo does still make a daily appearance at HTI. No J class seats of course (although service on QFlink often comparable).
