I flew *class from DPS to SYD in late November. 14 days later with no sign of points, I submitted a missing points request. Early January 2010 I called QFF and the consultant advised of "computer problems" at Jetstar causing the delay and suggested I call back at the end of the month!!!

Does anyone have similar experiences with this poor service, or indeed any insight into the so called "computer problems" at Jetstar causing a (so far) 7 week delay in crediting points and status credits?

(As an aside I was sweating on some Jet* QFF points to make WP in mid November (3 weeks after the flight). That time a call to QFF had the matter sorted while I was on the phone - a good result that time).

I flew SYD-HNL (ret) *class in mid Nov 09 and both sectors were credited 3 days later.

Aus ATC,

When I rang QF FF recently to sort out another missing SC and points issue (LAN) I was asked which airline it was for. When I said LAN there was surprise at the other end of the phone and the comment 'I thought you were going to say Jetstar' as it is happening all the time lately :!:

It does not help you any other than the knowledge that it is a big on going issue.

my cousin has been waiting 4 weeks for jet star *class SC to come across he has called about 10 times just keeps getting told to wait.

he needs them to get silver.

I had problems. Sorry to say that it took a bunch of emails & phone calls to get them credited. Took almost 10 weeks but hang in there, you will get them.

So I'm not the only one (not surprising). But serously how hard can it be:

A simple computer algorithm:

IF The OP nominates a QFF number in their booking AND travels Jetflex or *class THEN send details to QFF after the flight is completed.

Surely it is not that hard - or am I missing something:?:

In theory, it's simple. In reality, perhaps not. There are all kinds of things that may preclude this, including incompatibility in GDS's and FF management programs (And the lack thereof on JQ).

If two systems are using different formats, then there may be batch files or manual intervention required to get things going.

It would be interesting to know how many QFF people actually do fly on JQ on earning fare classes, and if this problem is generally wide-spread.

The cheque they have to send with the points?

Points and SC's finally sorted out and posted to my account yesterday. It took another call to QFF to find a consultant prepared to personally follow it through. Subsequent feedback sent to QFF to acknowledge/thank her work, and to point out the failure of their processes with Jetstar. Will post the reply if I get one.
